Quietly present. Respectfully documented.

I was blessed to capture a Celebration of Life this evening.

Of all the events I photograph, these gatherings are unlike any other. They are not staged or scripted—they are pure documentary photography. Raw emotions fill the room: love, sadness, disbelief, gratitude, memories, and ultimately, acceptance.

My role is to blend into the background, to quietly observe and preserve moments as they naturally unfold. A glance, a hug, a tear, a smile through grief—these are the moments that tell the story.

Tonight was a reminder that photography is about more than creating images. Sometimes it is about preserving a family's memories during one of life's most difficult and meaningful chapters.

It is truly a unique privilege to witness and document.

The Watcher…

The light comes in the same as any morning. She waits in it. Schneeberger Oser, before the service.

The man who holds the door, with his own door closed for a minute.
